Brazil consul asks for the passport in advance ,so my passport is there already.I called the doctor to make a appointment and he said the copy is OK.They will ask for your passport after received the medical back, probably 3 to 7 days only. Good luck for you too.

They said is mail and because we are outside is not a combo. First they receive the medicals back and check than they will ask for passports. She said will be little more long than for people in Brazil. The waiting for the work permit is killing me.How long takes?

My update: Nothing is happening........... :-[ At least when I spoke with my visa office ,they said: "wait 6 months more for the AOR."

I spoke with the consul yesterday, she said we can wait from 6 months to 1 year. So she said I can apply for work permit.Did you apply from VAC for the work permit? What do I need to send? I want to move soon...She gave me hope of not waiting moth and a half but I think we will be a long time...

I sent a check in Canadian dollars for the landing fee, just ask your bank, my was Bank of America . And gave my credit card for the fee on the form.
