Anyways, I am from India, applied to MPNP Family Stream and my sponsor got interviewed in mid Feb 2012. Please let me know how long it takes to get the letter from Manitoba to India (i guess snail mail)...Also is there any other way to obtain the information.

hi there, welcome to the group, well its a case by case thing, I got the LOA dated 4 days after sponsor interview.. my sponsor was interviewd on 26th oct.. i got the letter in the mail on 15 th nov.. dated 31st oct.. so yea.. just give it 2 to 4 weeks time .. Im sure ull hear from the soon .. in the mean time what you can do is .. gather all the documents and prepare yourself with all documents required for federal application .. that way you can avoid unnecessary delays from your part .. I know the wait is quite taunting .. but unfortunately we all have to go through it .. just hang in ther .. Im sure everything will get sorted at the end of it .. cheers

before you had to send it to chc new delhi or the concerned visa office and thats how they used to do it, according to the new system, the checklist said it had to be in canadian dollars and addressed to receiver general of canada.. either ways its a good thing for you mate.. glad it worked out for you .. really happy for ya .. cheers mate

How can I send it to Canada CIO if the currency rate is different? For example you have US dollar and sending it to Canada are they going to encash it on the same amount? Do I need to send exact amount to CIO Nova Scotia while my money is here in US? Thanks.

I sent a check in Canadian dollars for the landing fee, just ask your bank, my was Bank of America .
And gave my credit card for the fee on the form.
