I agree. I also believe it is a simpler exam. Just make sure to read the examples on the website. Do the practice tests as well as the speaking. It will make a huge difference.

I have not completed IELTS but my experience with CELPIP was a positive one. I would suggest studying for a couple of weeks to get prepared. The CELPIP website provides a lot of free material and gives you an idea of how the evaluate. Do as many practice excercises as you can.
