Which port of entry is best to enter Canada from usa with expired Pr card and landing papers.. Planning to go to Chicago first then thru detroit...hope it will be easy from there.

Let me know what you decide finally..as my case is similar.. Did u get inside Canada thru prtd or land border

Yes I am in India from 2012. But they email me to come for interview and they will assess eligibility for pr card before distribution.

Now what shd I do.. I do not have Canadian spouse..I left Canada on 31 July 2012 PR card expired..march 2015. In next rolling 5 yrs is 2015 to 2020. But I am still in India till date.

But I have received email for interview and pick up...how can they stop me at border when I am scheduled for appointment.

Now what should I do...? Skip the interview and stay in Canada for 2 years and reapply for pr card....anyway we missed the appointment.. I read in forum many people just go via USA and stay in csnada and after 2 yrs reapply.

Yes..file was in for secondary review then it went to local office Hamilton..then now Etobicoke.. Let's hope after so much wait..I get my card for 5 yrs, from this year .

I send my application for renewal process card two month prior to expiry..2015 I thought I will get it in 180 days..but they took 3 yrs to renew..each time they asked about passport details...absentees..ect.

I guess u are right.. It's better I travel via USA and then go for pick up and interview..May be they willl give or else appeal starts..then I do not move out of country..I did mistake once..but not again.

I did ask them how do I come to Canada..they told me to apply for PRTD.. But the rules for PRTD is that they count backward 5 yrs and check if we are eligible. What if they reject..? Then once rejection comes in system I cannot enter from USA.. right??. I am so confused..don't know what to do.

Yes..I applied 3 months before my expiry of card..is.2015. They asked me for my passport details in 2016..2017.. they knew I am in India. They send me email that as I have completed my 730 I am eligible for the card. I got that letter on 20 Feb 2018 On may 10 I got letter for pick and interview...
