Well let me answer you with a question? Are you US Citizen? Are you at least 6 month of the year in Canada? you see where I go with that... IRCC requires you certain amount of income for sponsoring, it doesnt matter from where it come from. And how you show it, it is with your tax returns...

My wife and I are not in Canada. The freaking sponsorship process take too long, I am think to get her a Tourist visa and move t Canada.. Then, go by the inland process...

Well this is my idea, would it be difficult to get a visitor visa for the wife first and do an inlan process? Even if the spouses gets it, would it be weird to go by immigration with a family with kids all canadian and one spouse with a Tourist visa? Any experience about it?
