    Police Certificate from Dubai (visitor)

Here's the official instructions on obtaining PCC from UAE even if you're not a resident. http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/security/police-cert/mid-east/united-arab-emirates.asp It seems like the easiest way to get the PCC is to ask someone in the UAE to take the requisite documents on...

    Reasons for Rejection (Faraz Summary)

I'm inclined to believe this. Not because it is the easier way but because it just makes more sense. BTW, I rechecked my application details and I have clearly specified I was physically present in Pakistan during the distance learning programs, so there hopefully shouldn't be any confusion...

    Reasons for Rejection (Faraz Summary)

Fair enough. I just think it shouldn't be required. Never thought it could be an issue until I randomly came across this post though, so I'm not so sure if I should start the process for obtaining a PCC from the UK now (already submitted my APR).

    Reasons for Rejection (Faraz Summary)

This is a rather bizarre reason to reject an application. I have two distance learning degrees/qualifications for which I have gotten an ECA. I can't possibly provide a PCC for a place I've never even visited.

Serious Problem, Please help! (Asivad, Stanlee)

If you got Canadian equivalence for your Masters, why are you worried about not getting points for it? It doesn't matter if it is part-time if you got the equivalency, no? While it would have been ideal to enter the date you actually got the certificate, I do not think this would be a huge...

Pakistani Applicants for Express Entry, Let's Network Here

It does not happen online. You need to ask a brother or relative in Karachi to do the process on your behalf. They will need to fill out the form, and submit it at the nearest station along with your passport pics (four) and your CNIC copy. They might need an authority letter from you as well...

Question regarding salary slips and job docs

For EE, the only mandatory requirement is the reference letter (which shows your duties and responsibilities/job description). That's the first 3 items on your list (assuming your job description does not appear in the reference letter), and they would have to be signed/attested by the relevant...

    PCC (from Karachi Pakistan)

No submitting two would not be harmful. Just make sure the addresses/dates on the police certificates match exactly with what you submit in your address history.

Average balance of 06 months in the proof of funds

For peace of mind, I would withdraw them and place them in my bank account since CIC wants a letter from the bank (or a balance certificate + bank statement). If they are a significant credit, I would attach a supporting document showing that the source of funds is my provident fund.

Submitting eAPR while wife is visiting me .. Should I?

I do not believe CIC would need to be notified of your travels after you submit your application. Passport pages would only need to be complete as at the time you submit your e-APR. I assume you've already included your wife's entry to Qatar/expected exit date in the appropriate section of the...

Average balance of 06 months in the proof of funds

I believe yes, as many banks refuse to alter their specific templates. In this case, bank statements for the immediately preceding six month period are provided to meet CIC's requirement.

Can you elaborate on 'special circumstances'? Does not finding a job matching your profile/ask (whilst searching for it from another country) count?

Notarized affidavit, or avoid the complication? (Gazillionth POF question)

Hahahah. Okay, in my defense, I hadn't even planned on getting anything notarized until I came across this forum. I am repeating myself here but only because I want to be sure I've got this straight: GIFT, no notarization required. Getting money back that someone owed you, notarization IS...

Notarized affidavit, or avoid the complication? (Gazillionth POF question)

Wait, won't this also require the gift deed to be notarized? A simple declaration signed by him can suffice?

Have applied for EE as single. Now, I have to get married. What to do?

In this case, would he need to have met the fund requirement for two people at the time of his original eAPR?

Pakistani Applicants for Express Entry, Let's Network Here

But if you refer to fkl's post, he suggests that it is acceptable for people to give their PCCs from one city/for their permanent address despite having jobs in different cities/temporary address.

Pakistani Applicants for Express Entry, Let's Network Here

Fkl, if we go with the practical route, do you think it would be a problem if other documents that we attach (experience letters from employers) contain the 'temporary' address that we haven't disclosed in our address history?

Notarized affidavit, or avoid the complication? (Gazillionth POF question)

But I wonder if returning the money to him would cause suspicion anyway, as it could be perceived as a way for me to bump up my average balance. It would be hell of a lot more convenient to give the money back for now just so I don't have to go through the hassle of explaining it, but there...
