I request people who applied for a study permit in or after April of this year to share their timeline, I am in a huge dilemma regarding sds vs n.sds.

If you are qualified for both sds and non-sds, the main determining factors will be the processing time and your financial status. If you are worried about time, go for the fast one (although which one is faster is a mystery...); if your financial status is not so good and your case is complex...

Which course or Program to choose in Canada after doing MMS in India - Visa Rejected because of course

Maybe you can share your SOP to someone professional or with experience, and see if it's really not convincing, or you just had bad luck being rejected by a difficult VO. I don't know how much efforts you put in your SOP. Personally I think a solid SOP is a lot more important than funds for...

    Proof of Funds Query

Theoretically you do not need provide other funds. Many people submit additional financial proof for sds to improve their chances, which I think makes sds more competitive. Some of my friends didn't submit anything not required and got their study permit. So it really depends on how you look at it.

Applying SDS. UNB Research Based Program. Need Help

I think it depends on what document you are going to provide as proof of first-year tuition payment. If you can get a receipt from your university saying that you have paid for one year by actually paying for two terms, then just pay 11k CAD. If not, I suggest 16k. In my case, I got a fee...

    New portal vs gckey

I don't think there are any differences in processing time. The biggest difference for me it that the file size limit for portal is 2 MB while that for gckey is 4. Reducing the financial proof document to 4 MB is hard enough for me so I didn't even consider portal.
