    may 2015 applicants for citizenship

I have seen other cases of wrong answers in online tests. For example, in the v-soul test, there is a question about the length of time the Hudson Bay controlled North Western Territories. None of the answers looked right, and the test treated "300 years" as the correct one. And I am pretty sure...

Are you seriously asking that? The simple solution is to keep reading the ECAS status update over and over again, until you gain the knowledge of the secret ritual you need to perform "If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment".

Guys, the colours change automatically, based on the dates you put in! So if your colour is wrong, check if the date of the latest event is entered correctly. If you don't enter the test date, it won't be yellow. If you don't enter decision made date, it won't turn dark blue, etc.

    Diacritics in passport application

Hi, I am still waiting for my oath ceremony, but I started looking into passport application process. One of the fields in the application asks for my mother's maiden name. I am wondering if I should use the actual spelling of her maiden name, which includes some diacritics, or simplified...

Today Passed the exam but forgot to mention one trip in the residence calculator

Depends on what exactly you told him. Even if it was in 2012 it's just 24 days of absence. Unless you did calculations manually and counted Feb 29th towards your presence days. If you did, you have additional 25 days of absence, and you have exactly 1095 days of presence, which means it...

Today Passed the exam but forgot to mention one trip in the residence calculator

You are welcome, even though you completely ignored it. I wrote 24 days, not 26. You wrote it was in 2015, now you're writing it was in 2012. How about you get your facts straight first? Regardless, under the old rules February 29th doesn't count as an absence or as a presence - you basically...

Today Passed the exam but forgot to mention one trip in the residence calculator

That's incorrect. That absence counts as 24 days. Feb: 23,24,25,26,27,28 = 6 days in Feb + 18 days in March = 24 days Or you don't count Feb 23rd, but then you need to count Match 19th. Which means now you only have 1096 days of presence. And if you missed one more day somewhere, you are now...

Citizenship test has some mandatory questions?

That's not what she said. First of all, you can't answer incorrectly "questions 15 to 20", since this would mean that you only answered correctly 14 questions. You need to correctly answer 15 questions or more. It doesn't matter which 15.

Citizenship test has some mandatory questions?

What do you mean by "mandatory"? You have to answer correctly at least 15 out of 20 questions. It doesn't matter which 15 questions...

Thanks! By looking at timelines of other people from Montreal, it looks like that office has pretty consistent times after the test - about 30 days between the test and the oath ceremony. So hopefully you should get your oath invitation really soon :)

is oath ceremony invitation always sent via paper mail? Or email..?

Maybe it just depends on the local office? Some of them use e-mail, some of them regular mail? My AOR was an e-mail (with a PDF letter attached). Both test invite and oath invite were regular letters. Also, my oath letter was white. Oh, and my local office is Kitchener.
