URGENT - Missing original COPR for test & interview

You have 5 days, instead of mailing it, ask that friend to use a carrier and choose express/urgent document package... It will cost more than a letter, but could potentially save you a lot of time and hassle...

Applying for NEXUS card with dual citizenship.

To add to this, I called them and I was told that all citizenship information should be entered, relevant or not.

Applying for NEXUS card with dual citizenship.

The way I understand those questions, it doesn't ask me for ALL citizenships I have, but for those that support my eligibility. So Canadian and/or US if I have those, otherwise other citizenship plus PR status in Canada and/or US. In this context citizenships other than Canadian/US may be...

Applying for NEXUS card with dual citizenship.

Hi, I got my Canadian citizenship and a passport and now I am looking into applying for a Nexus card. One of the steps is entering citizenship information. It allows me to add multiple citizenships. Right now I have both Canadian and Polish citizenship, but I am wondering if I need to enter my...

183 days (minimum) per year in 4 out of 6 years.

I have no idea what you mean by "any year". That's incorrect.

183 days (minimum) per year in 4 out of 6 years.

Yes, you're fine. Just remember that 183 days rule is about calendar years, and 1460 is about years counting back from the moment you submit your application. Just use the online calculator to make sure.

    ECAS fetching script

There is Cygwin, and also something called MinGW. It should be possible to make the script work on Windows using one of those solutions, but it would require some extra work. I'm not sure what scripts you have in mind...

Tracking June 2015 Citizenship Application - Please Share your Timeline

Actually Mississauga seems to be one of the slowest offices (if not the slowest one). Also, kannadiga's application was processed in Toronto...

    ECAS fetching script

Hi. My citizenship process is done, but I thought I would share a Bash script that I wrote for easy checking updates in ECAS. It automatically downloads and displays ECAS details, without having to go through the authorization page and filling out all the fields. It requires Linux. If you...

    Counting Citizenship days

Maybe you didn't understand him or he didn't understand you. When you leave before midnight and come back after midnight, it counts as one day of absence (according to pre-june-11 rules).

Travel to US after oath **

But he should listen instead to a random guy on the Internet. Nice ;) Who is "they"? On the CIC webpage it says "2 business days". At the passport office they told me "3 business days".

Travel to US after oath **

No, a Canadian citizen can't have or use a PR card. It's either-or.

Travel to US after oath **

I had a ceremony on Thursday, and the clerk at the ceremony told us to apply for a passport the very next day, since all the data will be entered into the system the same day (it was rather small ceremony and early in the morning). I actually waited longer, and applied for the passport today...

    Interview questions

Maybe under the new rules. But under the old rules they don't care about "new stamps", they just want to verify the originals. No it isn't. You don't need any copies, just the originals.

    Interview questions

When did you get your current passport? If you got it more than 4 years before the application (or 6, if you applied under the new rules), then that's the only one you need. It doesn't matter when the previous one was issued, but it does matter when the current one was.

Which places to notify about the change of status after being a Canadian Citizen

If I may hijack the topic... Is there anything specific one should do before travelling to the US after becoming a citizen? I still have a (valid) US visa in my current passport as I needed it to travel to the US. When I get Canadian passport, I won't need a visa anymore, right? Do I need to...
