    Thread for September 2010 Applicants

Yes Chloe, just to make the process that little bit more stressful you now know a decision has been made but you won't know what it is until the letter arrives! ::) sure immigration staff have a secret evil streak and have a bit of a giggle knowing how exciting it is when you see 'Decision Made'...

    Looking For Advice

My partner & I had the same query, but decided not to get married just for the forms and we are now going to wait until we get to Canada and start planning the wedding then. We thought it would be a good excuse to get all our friends/family over to see us too !!

Yay Bonbon9!!!! Welcome to the next level of the waiting game!! What's the shortest time anyone has heard of a PR application being approved in? I've seen some really (really really) long ones that have gone on for years but there must be some happy stories too surely!!

    Immigration Photos from the UK

I went to Jessops - not many people seem to know that a lot of their branches do passport photos. Do HSBC have a minimum balance for that sort of account? Someone told me it was £100,000 which is why I didn't look into it any further....it would be great if I could set that up (or if I had £100,000 to do it!!!)

Who should be doing most of the work the sponsor or the applicant?

I (sponsor) did all of it - apart from him signing his name of course!! He was very supportive of all the work I did by sitting next to me and watching various sporting events and occasionally pouring me a glass of wine !! ::) hee hee

    Childern with Canadian Passports

I included both for my boys just to be on the safe side. I would assume that the passport would be enough because the citizenship card was needed to get one but i think that more information is better just incase!!
