    Breakup question

First and foremost, she cannot make you leave Canada and you do not have to. You are a Permanant Resident and have all the rights of a Canadian, apart from being able to vote. Disregard what she wants and concentrate on what YOU want. She has to give you your documentation. If she refuses to...

    Seeking a Job?

Would it be possible to work remotely (doing work over the internet or telephone for a foreign based company or own company)? If you could, as long as you are paid into a bank account outside of Canada then you wouldn't be contravening the work permit requirements...

    Medical exam

You can have the medical done in Canada - there is no need to return to Ireland just for that. (You can have the medical done at any Designated Medical Practitioner through-out the world). When you have your medical the results are submitted automatically to CIC - you will only "hear back"...

Was I in a common law relationship?

You should read the manual: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op02-eng.pdf sections 5:25 and 5:26 In the M. v. H. decision, the Supreme Court adopts the list of factors that must be considered in determining whether any two individuals are actually in a conjugal relationship...

    Medical exam

You should get a return ticket as you run the risk of refusal by the airline to allow you to board at the airport and refusal to allow you in by immigration in Canada if you only have a 1 way ticket. The only alternative to that with regards to Immigration is to have proof of sufficient funds...

Can children return to the US for a visit after PR appl. has been sent in ?

If you allow the children to leave for a visit to their birth mother, they run the risk of not being allowed back into Canada. Actually, my biggest concern would be that she would refuse to return them to Canada... I believe that if they were refused entry back into Canada it could invalidate...

How fast can an immigrant divorce without losing the permanent residence?

It would seem from your post that you applied for Permanant Residence under the Federal Workers Program (because you say you got points for your husband which gave you the 67 points you needed), and not as a spousal / family applicant. You should post your question into the FW section of this...

Grrrr... Just wanna VENT!! waiting on interview

If you are an Inland Applicant, it is most probable that the interview you are "waiting on" is your landing interview and not an interview to ascertain the genuineness of your relationship. Keeping my fingers crossed that that is what it is!

You may want to read the manual for foreign workers (FW1) http://www.cic.gc.ca/English//resources/manuals/fw/fw01-eng.pdf - it really depends on what kind of internship you are seeking. 5.17. Work without a work permit R186(p)—Health care students Foreign students, registered at foreign...

    About the medical test

I am sorry, but you are incorrect. I am talking about ONE application for Permanant Residence where the principal applicant (family class, spousal) is living in Canada and the dependant child is living overseas. If one of the applicants is living overseas then they are processed overseas, not...

Why are they requesting the medicals?

Actually, spouses and dependant children are excessive demand (medically) exempt (see: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op02-eng.pdf 5:20) Whilst they are excessive demand (medically) exempt, they cannot be a danger to "public health or public safety" 5.19. Medical...

jancath410 is incorrect in his response to you. You CAN land at a local office, you just need to phone CIC to get an appointment. If you look at the link on the page you linked to it does explain it. 7.9. Becoming a permanent resident To become a permanent resident, any foreign national...
