No email update really sucks. Their website drives me crazy.

When the PR is approved (before the return label is activated), do they send an email or we just check cic? I'm already sick of cic. Every time I have to clear cookies like a thousand times before it works.

They understand of course, but sadly I don't think they care, and that's the problem.

This is horrible. They don't even open all the packages and put them into their database first (maybe they don't even have a database).

But did they at least confirm they have your passport?

It mustn't be intentional. I think this just shows things are poorly organized on their side. Passport requests should be sent out at the same pace of their processing, but there is an obvious disconnection between the people who send out passport requests and people who process the passports.

I think if you call them they should tell you the procedure? (Assuming they have such a procedure.) So my question is what is their phone number? I got a number by searching on Google for calling outside of Canada, but it's kind of weird because it's listed on University of Toronto's website...

That's when you go to cic and what the status says about your application. Mine is stuck at "submitted". BTW cic is not working for me today.

@caipsnotes @karthikb_itpro I noticed my passport was delivered to 2303 STEVENAGE DR, OTTAWA, rather than that 365 Laurier Ave address, and after some Google looks like that is expected. That seems to be a shipping distribution facility who then send the package further to a PO Box. But then...

How did you check that the person works at IRCC? Is there a directory somewhere?

My passport was delivered on Dec 7th and so far there has been zero update. It is okay to ask for passport, but it is not okay to give me a deadline but they just sit on it without even telling me if they received the passport. I emailed them yesterday I hope I will receive a response soon, but...
