    November 2021 - Citizenship applications

Lol, you should not worry, it's fine. There are still many paper applicants that haven't seen any progress such as me. I received my AOR on January 25th and zero progress so far.

I ordered them on May 7th and still waiting, so it may take some time. Hopefully this gives you a little insight.

    November 2021 - Citizenship applications

Seems so. But the whole process seems very 'at random', so I don't trust the statistics that much.

    November 2021 - Citizenship applications

Applied on paper, received AOR on January 25th and silence. I'm pretty sure it's just the processing office but a few people already received their tests from the Mississauga office. Not sure what's going on.

    November 2021 - Citizenship applications

I found this article, it may help anyone who is curious or wants to know why exactly the processing time has now more than doubled. Something I don't quite understand yet is that many applications from previous months (August and September) are now seeing a lot of progress. I beleive that this...

    November 2021 - Citizenship applications

Looks like paper applications move faster in the beginning of the process but they eventually finish within the same time frame if not they're usually a few weeks ahead.

    November 2021 - Citizenship applications

In the same boat but my application is at the Mississauga office. It is discouraging seeing others get theirs done but I'm happy to know that applications are progressing.

Paper vs Online citizenship application in 2022

Really? What I've seen is that paper applications are moving faster especially when waiting to receive AORs. I applied in November 2021 and received my AOR within 2 months time. Compared to other online applicants who are still waiting or recieved theirs this February.

    Mississauga Citizenship Applicants

Yeah I can see that happening. But I suppose other provinces would still have online ceremonies? Since not all provinces have or are planning to lift mandates.

    Mississauga Citizenship Applicants

Not really related to timelines but I'm sure you may have heard they want to lift all mandates in Ontario by late March. Do you think they will resume in-person tests and oath ceremonies, or would it still be online? I personally think that they would have to wait a couple months before resuming...

I remember reading somewhere that someone had taken the oath and they were told it was 50 people per ceremony in the zoom call.
