Can visa get rejected after PPR?

Technically your study permit will be issued at the airport when you arrive in Canada so the strictest nitpicky answer to your question of whether you can still be refused is actually yes. But that’ll only happen for something big though like if they find out you misrepresented something in...

    Judicial review settlement offer

Most people here don’t come back after getting their PPRs so rejections are over represented, IMO.

    Refused case

I don’t know what else to tell you. Everyone here has already told you what needs to be done and you just ignore it. Short of actually doing the whole application process for you, everyone here has already done what they reasonably could to help.

    Refused case

Order GCMS notes. That’s the only way to know what exactly the visa officer’s reasons for refusing your application. To answer your other questions, you have to justify why the program and studying in Canada makes sense in your situation. Nobody here can answer that for you. In your previous...

    SDS 2022 Processing Time

Congratulations! I’m glad to see that they’re processing Jan 2023 applications, contrary to what some here have been saying that IRCC will only work on applications for the fall intake. We also applied early, knowing the 12 week average timeline, because if we get our visa, there will be a lot...

    Passport refusal

21k may be enough for tuition (depending on the program) but isn’t a whole lot for tuition + living expenses. Where do you plan to study and what program? How long is the program? See my comment above re on-campus job.

    Passport refusal

It will be easier for everyone if you talk in CAD since everyone on this forum is more or less familiar with it and can give advice more easily. Also, using a job offer (if I understood your post correctly) as proof of funds won’t work since IRCC wants to make sure you can afford to study in...

    September 2022 Intake, Lets connect!

Sorry I don’t know the answer to your question, but would you mind sharing your timeline please?

    Offer letter revoked

Why would they revoke if the deadline to submit the visa isn’t until August 15? Something doesn’t add up. As for what you should do, contact the school ASAP and tell them of your situation.

Urgent: My friend forgot to get study permit at airport

Perhaps it would be clearer and easier for everyone to give some advice if you or better yet, your friend herself, explain step by step exactly what happened when she got off the plane.

    Study permit

Average processing time now is 12 weeks. Nothing to do now but wait.

    SDS 2022 Processing Time

I think this only applies to work permits that are not tied to another application (study permit and whatnot)? But even if that’s true, I would think that it shouldn’t affect the SP applicant. The worst case would be that the SP would get approved far ahead of the OWP (hope not though!).

Marriage after receiving study visa, but before entering to Canada

We’re just giving an option that those in the situation described in this thread may want to consider if it works for them. If it doesn’t, then fine get married, do whatever is easier in your situation. You’re the one who wants to turn it into an argument by condescendingly lecturing us on Asian...

Marriage after receiving study visa, but before entering to Canada

No need to lecture me about Asian culture, I’ve been living it for 30+ years. By the way, cohabiting is becoming more common in certain parts of Asia so your blanket assertion that nobody in the entire continent knows about it is wrong. Anyway, the point is it’s an option for those who need to...

Marriage after receiving study visa, but before entering to Canada

Shouldn’t matter as long as you qualify as common-law partners in Canada, right?

Marriage after receiving study visa, but before entering to Canada

Can’t you just apply together as common-law partners and then get married later?

    SDS/Non-SDS Philippines Sept 2022 , Let's connect here

Anyone who applied under SDS in or around May got a decision recently? Looking at the other threads, it seems like SDS applications out of India lodged in mid-May have been getting decisions recently. January intake pa kami, actually, but kaya nga nagapply ng maaga kasi madami kailangan...

I got refusal beacuse of wrong course choice. What is Relevant course for me?

You can keep asking the same question (re program) over and over but the reality is you are the only one who can answer it.

Is it a must to attach a Statement of Purpose (SOP)?

Well don’t use my example too literally or as a definitive yes/no. There are a lot of factors to consider - how much funds can you show, do you have family ties in Canada/home country, etc. Ask yourself this: Is there any detail about your profile—big or small—that would make the VO question...
