    CoPR Received - Few Queries

I just received my CoPR stamped Passport and the CoPR document. I am planning to do my landing one week before the CoPR expiry and had a few questions: 1) I plan to do my soft landing via plane in Toronto, but my friend stays in Alberta. Will giving a different city address for the PR card be...

Hello folks - Thank you for all the guidance so far. I have three travel situations that could happen and was wondering if there would be any issues. My AOR was just submitted yesterday: 1) Travel to Mexico - If I travel to Mexico in Dec 2019 as planned, will it affect my US PCC? 2) Travel to...

    Options After Importing Car

Hello Folks, Though I am far away from the process, I am asking for a friend who is planning to move to Toronto (he just got his PR card). He has plans to export from US (72 hour notice, etc.) and import into Canada. The query is what are some options after? I tried searching the threads but...

What Should I Answer For This?

Trying to submit application post ITA. In express entry there is a question Are you a lawful permanent resident of the United States with a valid U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) number? I am on H1-B and don't have green card. Just want to confirm if the answer should be NO?

Going to Canada and coming back to US

@Samoinp Fair point. I think of it myself sometimes - also this isn't set in stone, I am just exploring all possible options. The US immigration policies (strictly my opinion) is only going to get harder for people. However, that being said and based on my recent visit to Toronto (and talking to...

    USCIS Number

But the questions specifically asks if you are a legal permanent resident - How can you be a permanent resident without green card (and being just on H1-B)?

    USCIS Number

I think OP is referring to the question "Are you a lawful permanent resident of the United States with a valid U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) number? (required)" I have selected as NO since I am on a VISA ---> So I am not a Permanent Resident since I have no GC

    Earlier Submission = Earlier Processing?

All - Apologies if this is a dumb question. If my AOR deadline is September 9th, but I submit a month earlier by August 9th, will that mean my processing could be a month faster?

Going to Canada and coming back to US

Thanks harirajmohan. If I am already working for a company A who has filed my I-140 in EB-2. Can I work as a manager for 1 year in Canada and come back to the same company who can re-sponsor me in EB-1? What about if it's a different company?

Going to Canada and coming back to US

Thanks lampbreaker, unfortunately the thread has turned more into a USA vs. Canada gimmick. Was looking more for a lawyer advice, I'll consult someone.

Going to Canada and coming back to US

I am currently going through my Canada PR process. Was just curious to see if there was anyone here who was looking at options of going to Canada, working for a few years and then coming back to the US and probably do EB-1 GC?

    ITA Received - Few Queries

Thank you dotslash. Makes me feel much better :), maybe I was overthinking on the duties. Another friend of mine (not on this forum) who went through the process mentioned that IRCC gives enough chances and gets back to you incase they feel the letter is not adequate.
