How come some of the other people have gotten their passport back with COPR and visa?

Curious if tracking via ECAS works for you guys? I have tried many times but it always gives message that my application was not found.

Wow. Why has this happened to few people? I have seen others have gotten their COPR after sending passport. I am now second guessing my decision to send the passport :(

Yeah I spoke to agents too and they said I need to do what's written in the letter. I sent my passport on Monday(8/3) and they were delivered next day. And yes I sent them to Ottawa processing center.

I am outland too based in US. How would you receive COPR without sending your passport? As far as I know only inland applicants would be eligible for that. Anyways I got a PPR email last week and sent my passport couple of days ago.

Yeah I hope you get it soon. By the where did you get your photograph taken in US for Canadian specs? Did you also put the address of where the picture was taken?

Thanks for the explanation. I am an outland applicant currently in US and have been asked to submit passport to Ottawa office. Just concerned about sending my passport since they are taking a long time to send it back (no other option though).

How does the COPR exactly work? Do they first print out the COPR and then request your passport?

Damn. Kinda makes me worried living without the passport in another country for so long. Do you know if they usually take this long or is this due to covid? I saw one of the comments where the applicant from US got their passport back in 10 days(Send June 24 and received it back July 1st week)
