I can understand how frustrating it must have been for you. Did you call IRCC after January to ask the agent if VO has set any specific date to finalize your application? My situation is going to get worse too because an agent told me that a VO has set August 17, 2019, as a new finalizing date...

Hi, Do you have any updates on your eligibility? My case is also in Review Required due to the wording on my reference letter is very close to the wording of NOC.

I knew and the agent also confirmed, that it's definitely gonna take more than 6 months for my case. I am only concerned about the eligibility as of now, which I hope they have started by now.

I don't know about Sydney VO but I am in Montreal and my eligibility wasn't started three weeks ago when I was just 25 days away from the 6 months mark.

Thanks for your advice. I agree with you on asking them to put a note and forward it to the VO. However, my big concern is why aren't they starting my eligibility test! I mean I could understand if this was the situation at the 4 months mark since AOR but its almost six months and nobody has...

My case is pretty much similar to yours. I ordered the second set of notes on December 13 which I haven't yet received. In my first set of notes around 2.5 months mark since AOR, nothing had been started. I recently, a few days ago, called IRCC and a lady agent told me that unfortunately nothing...

Agreed! It would definitely take some time for them to get to the pace where they were before and hopefully further accelerate from there. In the meantime, I may get my notes around January 13 and that would spotlight my case and fate :)

Hope that Montreal folks had a great break and reenergized themselves with a new year's resolution of clearing the files, with more than 6 months timelines, ASAP. With many of our June friends are still waiting, I doubt that my status bar would eventually change to 'Your application is taking...
