application for canadian visa (PR) - child with mild autism

My daughter is 7, non-speaking, doesn't go to a regular school yet (thanks to COVID) and takes online sessions for Speech Therapy, OPT and Special Ed. So all we have is progress reports from her therapists. "Excessive Demand" is something thats incomprehensible for us parents at this stage cos...

application for canadian visa (PR) - child with mild autism

Absolutely clueless on that front. We are still not sure on the status of our daughter's file bcoz the re-med request did not come for her. Spouse & I completed our re-med today, so the results should hopefully be updated to our profile through eMedical in a week. I guess we'll know in a week or...

application for canadian visa (PR) - child with mild autism

M5 files usually go to CMAU (Central Medical Admissibility Unit) for the final review/approval. In my daughter's case, they gave themselves 1 year to complete her evaluation (found this in the ATIP request I raised). Still not sure if its done though. You can probably raise a GCMS/ATIP to know...

application for canadian visa (PR) - child with mild autism

An update. Received IMM 1017E this morning, for spouse and I. Curiously, no further requests for my daughter (I had uploaded her speech therapy report last month via webform). Based on a quick research about what the form is, it looks like a re-medical has to be done with a panel physician and...

application for canadian visa (PR) - child with mild autism

The due date on my daughter's file says Jan 20, 2022 as per the GCMS notes received in October. Was thinking I'll see if there are any developments, if not attach her latest speech therapy reports and move up the escalation channel

Applying for PR and my son has Mild autism

Nope, nothing yet. I got my GCMS in Oct where it says my daughter's file review is with CMAU and its due by Jan 20, 2022. Not sure if they'll do anything by then. Planning to upload a new progress report from her speech therapist via webform after New Year's, with the hope that our file will get...

Have a query. Thought I'll get a general consensus from folks here. PNP-Outland. COR: India. We completed our upfront medicals in Nov 2020 and AOR is 12/12/20. Received GCMS notes in October and based on that, our eligibility and medicals (spouse & I) are done, however our daughter is mildly...

application for canadian visa (PR) - child with mild autism

Nope, nothing yet. Received my GCMS last week and it clearly says our kid's file is with CMAU. The IME Status Reason says "Not Granted" for my daughter and the description says "Has a condition which might reasonably be expected to cause excessive demand on health or social services to such an...

application for canadian visa (PR) - child with mild autism

Is it really required to submit the reports periodically unless asked? We submitted her diagnosis, progress reports, etc back in November 2020 when we did the upfront medicals. Nothing since then
