What he/she meant is that you are stealing your own joy by comparing yourself to others.
As for the tuition, taxes, etc, we've had this discussion before and this is a situation in which you put yourself in, you're not obliged to stay.
We share the same thought...
I had my VMF on the 17th and nothing ever since, which makes me believe that the agent handling my case is enjoying some time off now :P
Congratulations!
If you never left the country then you have the right information. Other than that, if you ever left for Vietnam and came back at Montreal airport, then your last entered location would be Montreal Airport.
There's a huge difference between "thinking it's normal to wait 27 months" and knowing that the processing time is up to 27 months. It is in the official immigration website: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-processing-times.html

But hope they do so I can save some money
Had a status update:
""We are reviewing the results of your medical exam"
I had my medicals in 2016 before moving to Canada. Does that mean they are reusing those results ?
On a side note, there are some good news regarding the speed of document validation after submission.
I sent requested documents yesterday at 8am and had the agent request more documents at 1pm. So they're processing soon after they receive it...
