This means ghost update in new tracker. Some officer opened your file. In most of the cases either you get back ground cleared or FP request in a day or two. I wish its BG clear for you.

In general this email comes after AOR. So its a good news for you one way. Check your application for any errors on email address provided. And check your emails (Including spam etc). If all good then call IRCC to know the application number which can be used to create account for tracker. Also...

1) No rules on who will get FP request (Atleast I dont know). Not everyone gets it. Doesn't matter if you submitted or not at the time of PR. 2) I got my AOR on 24 Jan and received FP on 10 Feb. As you know with IRCC anything can happen at anytime.

I did submitted FP during my PR process in 2017. I have travelled twice to Home country (India) in last 5 years and changed 3 jobs. So don't know on what basis they make FP request. Awaiting for my FP report and will submit as soon as I receive it.

If you are in Canada, I suggest you to change all dates in application form (Including your eligible period) and new signature and new date. Because this will not affect your physical presense. If you are outside Canada then don't change dates. Be cautious on your eligible period. Its just my...

In progress in new tracker doesn't need to be someone is working. Its in queue or someone may be working. Do you ahve old tracker ? What does it say ? Received or In Process ?
