Are wedding ceremony pictures essential for a qualified PR application ?

Well if you are applying before you get married, you'll obviouly be applying as common law and therefore there won't be any wedding pics.

    Common-Law Sponsorship Cancellation during sponsorship

Can I just give you a little hint into 'woman' psychology??? There was absolutely no need WHATSOEVER, for the new lady in your life to speak to your current girlfriend - HOWEVER, this is done so your girlfriend starts to have doubts about you, and where you are, who you're with, questioning why...

    Common-Law Sponsorship Cancellation during sponsorship

I totally agree with the above response. You are already questioning whether or not you can cancel an application to sponsor your current girlfrind if it all went wrong??? Maybe i'm being a little too romantic but do you love her??? After all isn't that what most relationships are built on...

To fraud or not to fraud, that is the question

I don't think even in these circumstances, that a probational pr would have helped. If someone can wait for 4 yrs - then it won't be a huge deal for them to wait another 2 to get what they want. I can see both sides of the coin on this one - yes I agree in part with Tuyen that it hould have...

Frustrated!!!PLEASE HELP, Leon or anybody. Conjugal Partnership e-mail.

Then go to turkey on the quiet (ie don't tell your family), marry your spouse - coe back as though nothing has happened - sponsor him through the spousal route and then he can come over here and you can live happily ever after! Way better than not being approved for the conugal route and then...

I have to agree too. Erina you state that you have outlined in your letter to CIC that you basically don't want to go against your fathers wishes because he basically supports you. But on the other hand you have said that once your partner comes to Canada you will get married, so is your father...

My experience flying into Canada with an app in process

I will absolutely second the shout out for the immigration guys at Edmonton. They are efficient yet friendly and I like you, was given a 1 year visa. The officer wanted to give me 2 years until her superior said no 1 year will be enough to complete the spousal sponsorship (oh the irony).

Important Clothing for immediate School going kids

Hi there. Yes it's probably best to get ther clothes here and none of them have to be the expensive brands noted on the other thread. As said in that other one the best way to keep warm is to layer the clothes. So from the bottom up your kids might need Decent boots and socks (if really mid...

Any thoughts on this? opinions from both ends; Sponsor and Sponsored Spouse

Yes I just read the CIC bulletin, apologies. So it would seem that if you have been together for 2 years OR have children (married or not) then the rules don't apply to you. but if the relationship is less than 2 years again married or not and you have NO kids, then the rules apply to you that...

Also don't forget that another part to the rule is that a pr will have to have been a pr for 5 years before they can spnsor someone.

I know right! but it took them a whole 8 months to realise that the information they requested at the beginning of the year wasn't sufficient. I am hoping to hell that it doesn't take them another 8 months before they get to look at the new infor once its sent. On the plus side if it does -...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

Hi all - a little bit of movement on my case. Last week I emailed my mp and CIC sent them a detailed response as to the status, and funniy enough sent me a request for further information as well. I need to obtain a copy of court transcripts from an offence dating back to 1998 to see if they...

expat couple seeking citizenship for Jordanian Spouse

To be come a citizen you must first become a permanent resident. To become a PR, you rightly state you need to sponsor your husband. HOWEVER you have to show CIC that you plan to return to Canada and start life here. You only get your pr status upon entering Canada. It is then that after some...
