Could be Application form was updated after May 2014. So they are requesting the Application documents. This is my quess. Check the version you submitted and the latest form version. Eg: IMM0008 is April 2015 http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM0008ENU_2D.pdf

How long is your wife Multiple Entry Visa is Valid till, Visitors Visa can stay until 6 months, after that you can extend your Visa by applying and request for 1 year ( It depends upon what you request) there is a $100 fee for it. Your wife can revisit now anytime if she has Multiple entry...

Well I guess we both are in the 2015 First list, so we have to rely on the 2014 Guys end of December application to be done, I did see 1 application of Dec 31 was In Process ( I think that was random). hope for the best ;D Cheers
