    October 11th 2017 - Citizenship Applicants under 3/5 rule

It can take several months. There are some still waiting for oath invitations that had DM much earlier in the year.

    November 2017 - Citizenship Applicants

Check a few posts back in this thread and you'll see someone that received an oath invitation from Mississauga today.

Sadly, I wouldn't think you'd get a different answer in a month or two either. I wish they would release their quarterly numbers so we could see just what kind of numbers they are dealing with for applications. It must be staggering.

    Mississauga Citizenship Applicants

Someone posted that they received an oath invite in Mississauga today, so not sure it's true... https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/november-2017-citizenship-applicants.523007/page-511#post-7130260

    English language proof

It would probably be a good idea to order a transcript from the school.

    English language proof

The instruction guide for the application is quite clear, actually: You attended or are currently attending a secondary or post-secondary education program in English or French, either in Canada or abroad. A degree, diploma, certificate or official transcripts from a secondary or...

    Citizenship Security Clearance

Not sure why anyone is under the impression that security screenings are case by case. Every applicant is subjected to BG checks by CSIS. Depending on the backlog and your personal travel history, information can come slow or fast to CSIS.

PR in Canada, denied entry to USA, wanting to apply for Citizenship

I would tend to agree with this opinion, as I've long been a proponent of providing information asked for and nothing else. Let IRCC decide for themselves if it's relevant. It's not any sort of a criminal charge that would need to be disclosed, IMO. Unless the ban is some summary judgement of a...

Scarborough- Jan 2018 test cleared- When to expect oath ceremony?

Given that it will be months between test and oath, if you're travelling soon after your test for a short period of time, I wouldn't contact IRCC about your plans. They don't collect passports. They will collect your PR card, if you have one, at the ceremony.

    Scarborough -DM-Oath

Technically, they've met the 12 month processing time on your application. As defined by IRCC: How are processing times calculated? A processing time starts the day we receive a complete application and ends when we make a decision. Therefore, your application has been completed and is just in...

    Scarborough -DM-Oath

You can expect the process to take 10-12 or more months for the entire process, if everything goes well. The interim timelines vary widely based on the individual application. (IP-test, test-DM, etc.) Passport timelines can be next day to 4-5 weeks depending on if you request expedited service.

    November 2017 - Citizenship Applicants

That will likely be CSIS and any foreign agency that they need information from.

    Moving Sept.1st

I wondered the same, but perhaps something is noted under the UCI? Webform definitely won't work if no AOR, so calling is the only option until that point.

    Travel to US after Oath

Ah, fair point. Admittedly, I was only looking at this from the point of view of returning. I have a US passport, so entry into the states isn't a problem for me, but may be for someone that used to require other travel documents.

    Moving Sept.1st

I'd advise to call and change it. If your application is going to be returned due to incompleteness, you'll never get AOR and your application could end up at your old address. I'd wait a few weeks, though.

    Travel to US after Oath

Just use your certificate. You won't have a problem.

    Travel to US after Oath

I came through two days ago with just my certificate. No problem. I did take the time to update my citizenship to NEXUS before I left, as well. I applied for my passport before I left, but I wasn't going to pay the exorbitant expediting fees.

    Travel to US after Oath

Are you flying or driving? You can come across a land border with your certificate.

using G1 license as photo ID for <18yrs

Yes, any version of a drivers license is valid government ID, so it's fine. I did colour copies. Make sure you copy front and back of the license.

    Hii

If you have a line that says the certificate was sent, then obviously the application was successful. Depending on your location, perhaps it takes some time for the mailed document to reach you. If you suspect the document has been lost in the mail, then you should contact IRCC via webform so...
