You might want to try that, not sure if it's actually doing anything but one week after contacting our MP, we received the police certificate requests - I believe everything else should follow. They dropped the 'X' from our temporary application number so I guess it's safe to assume processing...

It was explicitly mentioned that it would be requested later - and to not send them with the application for me.

I got the Police Certificates Request!!! But still no AOR but I guess it won't be returned!!! Such a relief!

That's a good point. I think it would depend on the length of the course from what I've read, and in my case - do I gun for a post grad diploma or for a master's... Decisions decisions...

I'm wondering, if we move to Canada before DM, would I have to pay international student fees, or would I be able to pay Canadian resident fees?

I hope so! We did, I've called IRCC multiple times but my application is stuck - still pending completeness checks. My husband is the Canadian Citizen, and we contacted our MP as well. They gave us the same information... hopefully we hear something within the next two weeks :(

Nope, just a temporary number. Sigh. I think if you call them and they give you a temp number, you can change your address if it eases your worries!

Oh yeah, it can be a nightmare in some countries... I'm so scared of it getting returned as well... my sponsor is in Canada so if it gets returned it will probably go to him. I think the call centre opens at 8am EST? That's 8pm Singapore/KL time I believe.

Hey I live in Asia as well, there's an app called TextNow, you can get a free Canadian number and call them with it. As long as you've got good WiFi it's free too!
