    From what I have read, proof of citizenship takes the same time as other applications. If all the documents i.e. birth certificate etc are in order, people have been known to be issued the certificate within 4-5 months. Good Luck !

    The best thing to do is to call the Call Centre and ask them to make a note on your file that you are sending a copy of new passport. Then, mail a copy of the new passport with a simple explanation in a cover letter. I do not think new forms are required.
