if you have a representative, you cannot link your application unless you will cancel your rep. correspondence goes to your rep first and then it's your rep that informs you. this is one of the disadvantages of having a rep because they act as a middle man.

i would say yes. along with your uci and app number the letter would say your application was received. next thing you would generally expect is a pcc and schedule a request.

pcc is i think only valid for 6 months or a year and i read somewhere that if you are submitting a pcc upfront it should be 3 months recent. you can send your translated pcc however and attach a note to say that a new one is to follow. i think some people have done that but i'm not 100% sure.

it's a scam. no government agency will "text" you sensitive information or ASK for any personal information through sms especially tax info and SIN, obviously for security purposes. ignore that sms!!!! SIN is sacred. you do not give it to anyone, or else you will become a victim of phishing...
