    No you don't need a Japan visa since you just have a lay-over here. However, you would need a transit visa if you plan on doing any sightseeing or going out of the airport. Pero kung airport transfers lang, no need.

    Walang semestral break dito. There's a one week break in the middle of each term called "reading week." For Winter term (Jan - April), it's mid-February. Then two weeks between Winter term and Summer term. I'm not sure lang when exactly ang reading week ng summer term.
