    Inland v Outland applications

When I answered, I didn't realize that you were looking to renew a work permit. You have a couple options, you could apply to extend the visa, and simply "switch" your status to visitor for the duration of the application (which may only be a few months, depending on your VO and your case). Or...

Too much detail for the relationship development between my spouse and 1?

I guess the OP got the answer they needed, but I thought I'd add my two cents. Our answer to that question was over 25 pgs and included all the photos we submitted (over 50). However, we did not reiterate any info in that document elsewhere in the application. The tone was formal and specific...

    no more passport requests?

It means you'll just get COPR straight away instead of the VO requesting your passport.

    Inland v Outland applications

It is true that you must maintain status if you want to stay in Canada for the duration of your outland app, however, if you come from a visa exempt country it is quite simple to extend your stay. You can apply for an extension a month before your current status expires and you WILL have implied...

    can I enter without sponsor?

Your husband does not have to be with you when you land, nor does he have to be in Canada, since he is a citizen. However, you are supposed to re-establish in Canada soon-ish once you have PR. Although I don't think they track it at all. But technically, you are supposed to.

    Sponsoring my husband from Iran

Hi, No, you do not have to have a house by the time you apply, but you can also show your "plans". For example, you could contact a real estate agent in the area you are planning to live and discuss your plans, then provide some examples of this correspondence in your application. The letter...

    Medical exam question.

If you are outland you should be sending your entire application to Mississauga, Ontario. The Vegreville, Alberta CPC is for inland applications only. The DMP should put London, UK on the form where it asks for what Visa Office the application will be going through because that is where your...

    just wondering...

Pelipeli is correct, you have until either your medical expires (one year from the date you got it) or until your passport expires, whichever comes first.

    Give us optimism !!

Unfortunately polygraphs are not very accurate :P But hey, I am one of those people who has gone through the process and is still here. I'm not saying I'll be here forever, but I guess I just feel like, when I was doing research and preparing our app, I got a lot of great help and advice from...

Sponsoring my boyfriend i need help!!

This is fine. Become a Canadian PR by having your father sponsor you, then either live with your boyfriend for 12 consecutive months to become common-law or get married and you can sponsor him. You should already begin saving evidence of your relationship, such as photos, proof of trips you...

    just wondering...

For police checks, it depends a lot on which country they are from. FBI checks from the states take months, where as federal police checks from Germany take under two weeks. So I would try to find out how long it takes from the countries you need. Generally it is best to do the medical at the...

    Living together

I think it's sort of a grey area, but if it was for more than a few days, I would include it. Other people may have other opinions, but I don't think one is wrong and the other is right. As long as your information is consistent and correct, that is what matters. There is a little bit of leeway...

Yes, you can include visits as long you were living at the same residence. Just include all the dates and explain that you were visiting.

Perhaps the long delays are not because of non-genuine marriages in and of itself, but rather the troubled political atmosphere in Pakistan that may require much more thorough background checks and result in a more understaffed Visa Office. Of course it is horrible that you have to wait so long...

    Final Package Organization

Apparently they just remove everything like clips, folders, etc. as soon as they get it, but we did include some paperclips, just for clarity. We also used a few good quality sticky dividers (just from Staples) to show the different sections (sponsor, applicant, evidence etc). Another good tip...

Yes agree, send copies of everything, and don't forget to photocopy your entire application before you send it off! The only thing that was original that we sent was envelopes (to prove co-habitation) and we didn't mind not getting them back!
