For anyone who has had test invite, how long did it take ECAS to update? I got the invite several days ago and there still is no update. I understand it will continue to say "In Process" on the first page but there's no 4th line about receiving the test invite..

He/she (livmckella) is line 57 on the October 2018 spreadsheet. And I asked because it just seemed random that everyone else who has gotten a test invite is at the top and I'm half way down. No big deal, just curious.

Why would the test be in Victoria if they are in Burnaby? Seems a bit far and expensive given ferry/air cost

What determines line at this stage? I'm half way down the spreadsheet (line 66) but I'm further along in this process than the majority of people who are above me (50 of the 66 people above me haven't had test invite yet).

I see that you're in Comox, so you must be in the Surrey or Vancouver office. I'm really surprised your file has moved this quickly. BC applicants tend to be the slowest in the entire country so this is a bit of a shock given that you didn't apply for urgent processing.

I also had the same issue. I just changed the address online and the update appeared with the correct address about a week later in ECAS. Much easier to do it online than to call CIC unless your address is outside of Canada.

It's worth applying and giving it a try, in my opinion. You never know!

Did your parent who is the 1st gen abroad actually have their citizenship certificate at the time you were born? Or did they apply for it later (or at all)?
