    April 2018 - Citizenship Applicant

RCMP directly would be the fastest I'd say. A 3rd party just sends them to RCMP anyway. Maybe call your local RCMP and see what their process is.

Yeah, I'm the same. I'm guessing it will be January/February next year before the process is finished. I'm not going to check ECAS every day from now on. Maybe once per week. I'll just drive myself mad!

Question about section 11 in Citizenship form [August 2018]

In that case I would say no you can't use an expired cert. The certs only last for a certain amount of time so I would apply for a new one.

Question about section 11 in Citizenship form [August 2018]

Did you spend more than 183 days in any country during your eligibility period? Here is the language in the application guide. That should help: Within the last 4 years, if you spent 183 days or more in another country (other than Canada), you must provide a police certificate. You must provide...

My wife received a fingerprint request via email on July 30th. Nothing for me. Need to figure out where to have them done now. Edit: Looks like my processing center is Scarborough which I hear is very slow.

IRCC survey - Client Survey N

I'd like to have a case officer that I can speak to directly about my application. I have some friends who went through the citizenship pricess in Australia. There they know the person who is working their case and can contact them any time. IRCC is a black hole where you don't know anything and...

    April 2018 - Citizenship Applicant

Context is probably important here. There are many reasons why applicants may need to leave Canada for an extended period. For example my company has offices all over the world and people regularly go to work in these places for 2-3 month projects. They would need work permits to do this in many...

I'm wondering how this situation with the refugees and the Quebec border will affect processing times. Seems to be taking up a lot of resources. They are pulling CBSA agents from Pearson to go deal with the situation. I know they don't process cases but I bet quite a few officers have also been...

Pretty sure the application package does not need copies of COPR. I believe you only need to bring originals of those at the interview stage but I stand to be corrected on that.

I'm in Toronto and I checked No for that question. I doubt I'll ever live in Quebec and I didn't want it to look like I intended to live there by checking yes. Edit: The application also says this right underneath - Whether you answer yes or no is completely your choice. Your answer will not...
