Have you looked at destinations other than Canada? I did my masters in the Netherlands and it only set me back CAD$25K for everything (tuition, living costs, food). But then again, you won't get a PGWP like you would if you had gone to Canada for college.

It is a three-year work permit, I won't be surprised if I can get a PR under CEC before the IRCC looks at my FSW(O) file again. No movement on my file at all between April and August.

Sorry to hear about your progress. My eligibility is a pass recommended by a program assistant, not yet a conclusive one.. :( Very saddening to see my file was left untouched since February this year. the IRCC updated the POF requirements for FSW applicants just this month, could mean that FSW draws will resume again. Also, the IRCC has shortened the application submission window back to 60 days, could just mean that they expect and have the manpower to process higher number of applications...

Based on the info given, you seem more like an investor that trades stock on a regular basis & you trade with your own money, whereas the people who fall under NOC1113 are those who are engaged by clients to make investment decisions on their behalf, trade using client's money.

This sucks. I’m on the verge of giving up my dream to move to Canada and just gonna settle in europe instead. Better work-life balance, better pay, more affordable housing, rich in history. I’m 29, can’t put my life on hold indefinitely waiting for the day that may never even come.

    Ray of hope - FSW - 1

I think the fairest way to carry out future FSW draws is to temporarily remove the age penalty. This enables those who waited in the pool during the entirety of the covid get an equal chance of getting an invitation. For ielts validity, I don't think the IRCC can grant an extension to it. I...
