Can PR/spousal visa processing be put on hold if requested?

bholebabaji: I agree with 'achander'. If you would have applied after 25th October, 2012. The rule would have applied to your wife. The rule is simple. If you guys get 'divorced' for 'marriage of convenience', then easily could have complined to CIC and get her kicked outa Canada within 2 years...

mehfuza: Medical re-assessment is a new rule got in action last couple of months or so. They will send Ottawa a request to extend the expiry and you don't have to do it again unless they ask you for reasons. It depends on individuals file though. It should be on the CIC site. I just lost the...

diyabrar: what I understand is CIC Singapore deals with thousands of application with merely few employees. I strongly believe that your gov department never deals with thousands of people with short of staffs! Right. I just don`t wanna reveal my background here. Thanks for reading it.

CIC does not work like other government offices, FYKI. I believe your friend is not a government employee, and see it did not affect...

Hi diyabrar: If we compete with our friends then we will definitely be frustrated! I understand it is 'depressing'. However, at the end of the day, it everybody's luck too. We need bit of luck as well as 'hard work' on preparing files. I found some people are always 'lucky' with immigration. No...

Any thoughts on this? opinions from both ends; Sponsor and Sponsored Spouse

Hey computergeek: I consider this change as an eye wash to deter "frauds". This will not affect much the frauds neither will speed up the system - I am not convinced. It might trap some genuine people into trouble. Relation always breaks up and find the new one. This change might have a little...
