why am i so unlucky?

Hey guys, i really need help here... any smart advice would be very appreciated...
I requested the visa office in Haiti when filling out my application... on july, ottawa sent us the approval email stating we have met the requirements for sponsorship and our application was transfered to a visa office abroad for further processing and gave us their email and fax information if we need to contact them in haiti. i am not living in haiti, im actually in santo domingo, but i did not request the vo in santo domingo since their processing time is 14 months while haiti is 9 months. I have been waiting now 4 months after approval, and they tell me Haiti vo starts calling ppl within 4 months already... Today i found out that my application was transfered to santo domingo... this is what the call centre rep said to my husband this morning... i dont know if its their mistake, or if they actually sent the paper to santo domingo... because ottawa had sent us the vo in haiti contact number... one month ago, i sent additional informations to haiti vo, and they actually received it... Please guys tell me, whats going on? what should i do? thank you soooo much... God bless u guys...

Hi How do you know they actually received it ? Did they send you confirmation mail (e-mail, mail)? Or you just know through Courier's (DHL, FedEx) tracking number ?

Suggestion: Now you need to email a "Case Specific Inquiry" to both the Visa Offices. I think this is the best way of dealing this dilemma now. Best of luck.

Unless you were a citizen of Haiti or a resident there, only then could you choose Port au Prince. As you are resident in the DR, and if you are a citizen of the DR, the application was probably transferred to Santo Domingo, the office you should of chosen in the first place. So I would think that you are the reason for the delay.

@aarongpasha, thanks for replying... i know they received it because i had my best friend in haiti dropped it for me at the vo, she actually got in and spoke to the person who is receiving additional documents, and she delivered it... i trust her, its like i went myself to do it. Thanks , i think i should send an inquiry to both visa offices... i am here in santo domingo, i gave them an address and phone number here in santo domingo but i did request haiti.

@PMM, thanks for replying... i am a citizen of haiti... im here in santo domingo for a limited time, and if they were based on my street adress to transfer the file to santo domingo, then why would they even ask me on the pr application, which vo i choose? and why would ottawa emailed us haiti fax and email information to contact them if then they would send it to santo domingo?

If your application has already been transferred and received, I would say just let it be, and wait patiently. If you start making noise and asking them why they transferred it and start demanding that they transfer it back, the only thing you will do is create additional delays. As long as it's been received and is being processed - that's the important thing. And don't forget that the processing times are not the EXACT amount of time that everybody waits. Your application may be processed faster, or slower.

Actually some of the longer VO's turn out to be very short because volume is so small. If you look at May's spreadsheet there were 2 applicants going through Rome VO which has 1 of the longest waiting times of all of Europe. Well the 2 applicants who used this VO were dealt with very very quickly. 1 had his Visa within 8 weeks of stage 1 approval and 1 has been in process since late September. I believe off the top of my head Rome's processing time is listed as 14 months or so.
