Congrats to all of you who received test invites...it is finally moving a little...

Do you mean your home country passport? yes, it is necessary - they will check it. if you also applied with an old passport, they will want to see that one too.

Today I called CIC to have an idea of when I could expect the oath invitation. My issue is I need to renew my passport & I am afraid of starting the renewal process and being invited for oath at the same time....they confirmed to me that we need to bring the original passports that we submitted...

I can't really say but I am only assuming that because I renewed my PR card not very long ago, maybe they had already done a few security checks and therefore my case went faster...however, this is only an assumption. Maybe it depends on the agent, on the results of security checks of home...

I got test invitation August 20th for test September 13th but lots of Montreal applicants are still waiting for the test.

They do but because I am expecting to get the oath in hopefully a few weeks, I don't want to leave my passport at the consulate and not have it for the oath ceremony...I believe they ask you to bring your current passport

still nothing but they said 2 to 3 months after the test so I am not too worried. Have to wait patiently but my issue is I need to renew my French passport soon and I don't really want to renew it before I have the oath, so it is tricky. Wishing everyone more test/oath invites soon !!

I am sorry you still haven't received your test invite....I am waiting for oath...was hoping before Xmas but I am not sure now...we can only wait!

In my case they asked to see my passport, PR card and COPR, drivers licence and health insurance card. Maybe you should call them and inquire if the COPR is enough if you have lost your PR card. I think the COPR is more important than the PR card.

Hi all, I just passed my test this morning ! Got 20/20! Most questions were easy if you study the book but there were a couple of tricky ones for which I really wasn’t sure ! Anyways it all worked out fine ! The agent was super friendly. Just checked my documents and asked general questions...

Thanks! I have been practising a lot of online tests and reading the book/listening to the book on a regular basis. I just hope the questions are similar to the online tests :)
