just a suggestion and from what i have read somewhere in this forum...it is also important that your teaching job and other duties and responsibilities will match on the requirements of your prospective employer...and even if the children whom you will take care of, do not have any special...

If I go to Canada as a tourist, and I will be able to find an employer who can provide me the LMO for live-in caregiver position...then, I have to go to US as a tourist and file my application at LA or New York...is this what you mean?...is having a tourist visa in US same as "legally admitted"...

is it possible to apply under the Live-in Caregiver Program while in Canada as a tourist? If so, can the applicant submit his/her kit to any Canadian embassy in US, and stay in US or Canada while waiting for the approval? or are we going to file our application in the country of our origin...

What if she qualifies for the LCP?...will she have to go back to her country of residence and apply from there?...or can she file her application in Canada while she is still working as FCA?

well, in that case, if you can really prove that you have satisfied their requirements, maybe you can make an appeal to the Visa Officers.

If you wont mind my asking, may i know the school where you took the caregiving course...what documents did you submit to prove that you finished the required 6-month caregiving course...did you take the NC II of Tesda?

Processing time for LCP here in the Philippines takes 24 mos...in fact, if you would check this website - www.cic.gc.ca - processing time is 36 mos...only divine intervention can make it shorter...OWP or Open Work Permit is for the caregivers who have already complied with the 24-month...
