1094 days for citizenship is very particular? or will they consider me?

If you EXACTLY go for 4 months every year (day count would depend on which exact months though) then you'll be fine. 4 months x 6 years = 24 months = 2 years out of the country from a total of 6 years. So 4 out of 6 in Canada, so you would be good to go I guess. The frequent long-stays out of...

Don't stress too much Fanboy, I went back to the spreadsheet and I noticed that happened with some April apps as well where some were around 60 days from received to IP and on the same date some date received some were 80 days received to IP. Should be fairly soon now! *fingers crossed for all*

The "intent to reside " clarification by Chris Alex

Yeah I see your point, haha, wish there was a reliable magical lie detector that could differentiate between us the people who live and work in Canada and truly want to be citizens from those who just want a travel document. So yeah that would definitely be one way to go. I wouldn't be overly...

The "intent to reside " clarification by Chris Alex

lol touche, mind you I honestly don't understand what the issue is with having dual-citizenships, I mean unless you're an elected official or part of the judiciary, etc... is there TRULY a conflict of interest. Can't one love the country he was raised and born in and love Canada for it's...

The "intent to reside " clarification by Chris Alex

What about people who will lose substantial inheritances in their countries of origin if they give up their citizenships there? wouldn't that technically be a loss to Canada, since many people would actually bring the capital to work in Canada eventually? Mind you Germany is a one citizenship...

The "intent to reside " clarification by Chris Alex

Hey all check this out, an interesting discussion with Chris Alexander on the mounted challenge against Bill C-24. I think it will stand in court though, doubt it's "unconstitutional" and if it is, I am not quite sure where it says that...

The "intent to reside " clarification by Chris Alex

Fasnoon, I actually wouldn't worry so much about it though, because as Chris Alexander said, once you ARE a Canadian Citizen your citizenship cannot be revoked without contention or appeal. And since all Canadians whether naturalized or born citizens have an inalienable mobility right, then I do...

    WORK/JOB RECORD

Hey guys! thought I'd add my 2 cents! I completely agree with Glowingheart, it is not required. And if it is they have done a VERY poor job wording it because I speak 2 other languages aside from english & if it was written in any other of the two the wording would STILL not make sense to me. I...

Good to know, mine didn't do that until about a week ago, honestly I'm not too worried, in my mind if I get the citizenship in a year (i.e. by the end of may next year) I'll be a happy camper :) after all I came 9 year ago to Canada as an international undergrad on a student visa & had nothing...
