2013 applicant waiting too long, 2014 fast

BLT, Statistics sir, I assume it's not your forte. If you have a population size of 360,000 CIC applications, and you have on this forum a sample size of precisely 2,386 applications (and I would fancy that there is more than that) then you can statistically infer with a 95% confidence level...

    May2014 applicants

Hey HoneyBird2, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it is not so. My received line disappeared a couple of weeks ago now. I called CIC 2 days ago and my app was still in Sydney. The agent told me it can be days, weeks or months before it gets transferred to the local office. There is no...

    RCMP and FOSS clearance expired

??? did you ask for your test to be rescheduled and was there a legitimate reason that you missed it? it wasn't a final test notice was it? CIC can administratively close your citizenship application if you miss an exam and do NOT contact them within 30 days.

When will I be eligible to apply for Citizenship?

Which is kinda silly actually. For example I've been in Canada for 9 years between doing my undergrad, working, getting my PR and applying for citizenship. After I applied for citizenship I went back home for 2.5 months because I ended up quitting work and enrolling in an MBA program, and I...

i need advice on my options?

mike121, Just to follow up on scylla point, if your PR has expired and if you haven't been in Canada for 24 months (2 years) in the last 60 months (5 years) you might not be able to renew that either even if you re-enter Canada.... which might become a major pain/issue for you.

When will I be eligible to apply for Citizenship?

Hey PMM, So do you think they would actually cross-reference the CBSA exit and entries post-citizenship application date? I think that would be the only way they would know that you came back to Canada just to do the exam and oath, no? Because from what I understand is that they are only...

When will I be eligible to apply for Citizenship?

That is inaccurate, citizenship revocation is under extreme circumstances such as treason, fraudulent path to naturalization , terrorism, etc... As a Canadian citizen you will still have full mobility rights so that would not cause them to strip you of citizenship. Under the new law, assuming...

    lawsuits against C24

Hey buddy, I am thinking don't interact with that member any more, and you are welcome for the earlier comment. It's sad to see how some people can't express their disagreement in a well mannered and civil way. I don't understand how people like that can flourish in the 21st century. As a...

No news yet Senorita ::) Last on my file was AOR and Booklet received August 25th and Received Line Disappearance on August 29th. If early 2014 timelines are of any indication I'm thinking most Test notices for us May people will be at the end of November or maybe sometime in December. p.s...

ECAS: June 2014 Citizenship Applicants (IP & AOR Date)

Hahahaha I'm sad to see you went the Budweiser route, surely if you have to skip over Molson then you can go for an Alexander Keith's or even a Kokanee, haha. Yeah I think a reasonable waiting time for citizenship in a developed country should not exceed 6 months. Mind you I am not quite sure...

ECAS: June 2014 Citizenship Applicants (IP & AOR Date)

In business a rant like this would be called a CLM (Career Limiting Move) lets just hope it's not a CLM (Citizenship Limiting Move) :p hahaha jk jk I agree with some of the points you've made here, there is definitely a TON of improvements that can and should be made, but recent evidence shows...

Who are Qualifying under NEW Bill-24 ?

Why would Screech be worried even if the new rule does apply to him? There is a rule, it applies to all, you adhere to it, end of story. It is a legal process. Anyone with an even keeled and rational mind understands that. Worrying when it comes to clear cut regulation is a waste of nerves and time.
