    may 2015 applicants for citizenship

Have added myself to the spreadsheet - Application received May 4th. Just have to say that this was the most stressfree CIC application I have ever submitted! I have never been so relaxed putting this together and gathering all the documents - the stakes were a lot higher when it was my PR...

Thread For applications Through SYDNEY (AUSTRALIA) Office

Hey mrlahori, I just checked in to the spreadsheet, and those columns were just hidden from view - not deleted. There were a couple of arrows at the top row between J and O so I clicked on the arrows to expand the view. I spent a lot of time getting that spreadsheet up and running and you guys...

Sorry for the repeat.... First up, congrats to everyone who has landed or had good news since I was last on here. It has been a while since I participated (funny how life is suddenly really busy when you are allowed to work as a PR instead of being home all day!) but I have been checking in...

That was fast for the PR card! Some others in the PR Card tracking thread have waited for 3 months and still not received it. I landed a couple of weeks after you, so hopefully I will get the card in the mail soon. Not that it really matters I guess, but it would be good to get it and close the...

Thread For applications Through SYDNEY (AUSTRALIA) Office

I remember seeing a link that was posted on another thread which outlined how many officers work in each location and there are not many in Sydney (less than 10 I think), so the same officers that process family class also process Can experience and FSW etc - which would explain why we seem to...

I know of a few kiwis also on the working holiday that entered as a visitor, spent 2-3 months travelling around and then drove to a border to re-enter and start their WH. They did this to maximise their time and so that once they decided where to live and work they hadn't wasted months of "work...

So I landed today at Carway, AB border. It was really, really easy. Both the US and CAN officers were friendly and nice to talk to. I was the only person there and it took about 30 mins to drive up to US, park, go inside and wait while they dealt with a paper jam to get my piece of paper, drive...

Hey Marie-Lou, Go outland for sure! Check out the other Sydney thread as it has some more info on the advantages for NZers and Aussies. No you do not need to get a Canadian police check for your Aussie bf. CIC will look it up themselves. Good luck!

Yes you can stay. For some people, especially those from countries requiring a visa to visit Canada, the inland route is the only way for them to stay together during the process. Outland applications may mean being apart for up to 2 years depending on processing times as the spouse is often...

Hey Kiwiz, Go outland for sure! There is a link to the Sydney spreadsheet in my signature, as you will see most cases are processed well below the 9-10 month guideline from the CIC website. A few of us who recently got PR applied in June - August, so you are looking at around 6 months total. I...

    JULY 2012 Applicants join here

I just got CoPR in the mail today. I am off to the border tomorrow to land as long as the roads are OK in the morning. It is supposed to snow all night, so if not tomorrow then Saturday. Such a great feeling, and I wish everyone else the best of luck. Hopefully we get some more PPR's and CoPR's...

That is perfect timing for you kiwikiwi!! Hope you have a great time in Vegas. I will land either tomorrow or Saturday. I conveniently have tomorrow off work, but the weather forecast sucks and I am not too keen to take my little car down the border if its going to snow all day...

Getting a medical in Sydney for a permanent resident visa (spouse sponsorship)

You could try posting your question in the family class forum - there are a couple of Sydney specific threads, plus others who may be going through the same problem in other countries. This one doesn't get much attention. Good luck.
