Most people that have delays are due to their security checks. maybe your husband worked for the government or something. It's frustrating I know.

Hi Eagle, I got my GCMS notes yesterday and it shows everything (Eligibility, Criminality, Medical) is passed except "Security" which is still blank. Do you perhaps know what exactly is done in this "Security phase" and an estimate of how long this takes? Thanks

Most visa offices issue the visa within a month after they request for your passport. There are some exceptions such as Manila and perhaps others I'm not aware of.

Nope it shouldn't. there is no minimum income as long as you don't have children. The minimum income only applies if you have children.
