For ours they summarized how they know us and how long, as well as what social or family things we all do together. Also what they know of our future plans together when we return to Canada. Some of ours were notarized and some were not. I think we had about 6 notarized letters and 4 that weren't.

Mine switched to "background check in progress" around February 22 give or take a day. So it's been just over a month now I've been waiting. Hopefully not much longer and hopefully it is quick for you too!

I really feel for you! I know how frustrating it can be, especially when you have other people's time lines to compare to! When I was going through the Australian process, one of my good friend's also was and I kept comparing my timeline to hers and it stressed me out. Would the delay/confusion...

I just logged in to myCIC and saw that Background Check is now In Progress. YAY! It hasn't changed in ECAS yet though. It's funny how this works because I signed in to check this morning which would've been around 5:00pm Ottawa time and it said Not Started. I log in now just after midnight...

don't give up yet! it's really frustrating but you will get there. when my partner sponsored me to become an Australian PR i found it alot less stressful. i didn't have a website to check every day and other people's processes to compare to. i just had to wait. i ended up waiting 6 months...

Hey there, Just wanted to say I signed on to ECAS today and noticed it says "Decision Made" under Sponsorship App Status. It also now says "Medical results have been received" in the PA section. I haven't received an email regarding anything since I got an email on the 10th for my AOR1. Cheers :)

I received the AOR1 email for our application today. It took 13 days from when it was delivered so not bad! I have updated the spreadsheet :)

We applied outside of Canada (both in Australia) and roughly we would've spent about $1600-$1700. It was $1040 for the Visa fee and his full medical was just under $600. We then just had small fees for courier, passprot photos and police/traffic record checks. :)

Hello, I thought it would be a good idea to join this thread. We submitted our applitcation for my boyfriend on December 21st to CPC-M. It shows as delivered on December 29th. We haven't had an AOR1 yet so hopefully soon. It was probably bad timing to send the package around Christmas rush...
