EI & SIN should be handled by different departments. I dont think the same person is taking SIN applications and biometrics on the same work shift, that's nonsense. I thought they are gradually opening the passport services which include biometrics collections, so other departmental jobs...

    biometrics

That's more for people applied in March, April, and on. If someone who has an AOR date in January has not got a call yet, it cannot be explained "but you live in a bigger city." It just means either they call very few people a day, or simply haven't started out yet really. I guess the system is...

Biometrics Service Canada Phone Call/Booking Tracking

Vancouver here as well! Appointments got canceled on March 16th, and mine was on March 17th. So I am assuming I should get a call pretty soon. :D (AOR is Feb 13th.) Wishing everyone good luck!

Where was I? Well, I was in Canada trying to catch an appointment that's not 2 months away. :D It is not like you get your BIL and catch an appointment the other day, especially if you live in bigger cities where all slots are booked for the following month.

    Biometrics

There is a backlog of 6 - 7 months of applicants waiting for biometrics, unfortunately. You will need to wait now, and check regularly the IRCC social accounts & pages. You have to give your biometrics unless otherwise announced - which kind of sure now they will not waive it.

Perhaps your medicals were late? If I am not wrong, you get your BIL once the medicals clear.

When will the biometrics service resume in Canada?

It is a bit tricky to say "it is not blocked" as it actually kinda blocks it. Since they cannot run the background check without bios, basically you are blocked there. When I called them to get some information, I learnt that my eligibility check was done and application was "approved" in May...

    Biometrics - Out of Canada?

Interestingly, they do not say "you cannot do it" but give a clear statement on their biometrics update page. "While biometrics collection is temporarily suspended at Service Canada locations, do not go to another biometrics collection point, including Canadian ports of entry (POEs) other...

My score after applying is much lower than expected

Great! :) Correct, work experience in times of full-time study cannot be counted.

My score after applying is much lower than expected

The difference between what you have expected and what you got cannot be explained with Canadian work experience points, seems like. As you would not get that many points with 2 years of experience. LMIA job offer makes a big difference, if you do not know what to put there, chances are you do...

    Biometrics

Please, read before you reply. No one is saying that SC has nothing else to do, but only biometrics. They surely have many things to do. That's why it is better to LET US KNOW what exactly is going on. We are not asking anything related to what SC does. What we all want is getting some...

    Biometrics

No one is asking to be at the top of the list. The problem here is no information given, no explanation made. Current residents you say? Who am I? I paid $$$k of taxes all these years, I contribute to the community at a good extent and I am living here for years. So you tell me I am not the...

    Biometrics

That is also ridiculous. Of course, I would want everyone to get whatever they need asap. However, imagine that. My appointment was on March 16th, and SC canceled all appointments on March 15th. I am waiting for 5 months now for something to be worked out just because of a day. And again...

    ***>>> March 2020 AOR <<<***

English is not your native language, as I can see. However, just so you know, telling people "f.ck off" is not a way of saying your opinion "out loud". It is plain uncivil and rude. You better keep that in mind when you come here. Cheers.

    ***>>> March 2020 AOR <<<***

Easy there, tiger. Who are you to tell people f.ck off? Are you even in Canada yet? Are you like the owner of Canada or something? People say their ideas out loud here, it is a free country. And yes, IRCC made a mess for inland PR applicants and yes, it is just plain stupid. If you do not want...

Does Salary matter for PR under CEC?

Express Entry is a big umbrella program. There are tons of streams of it. None of them is same or equal in requirements. And again gotta repeat, there is NO minimum salary that IRCC expects from applicants that you can generalize in CEC stream. Nada, none. As I wrote in my first reply to this...

Does Salary matter for PR under CEC?

$35? MINIMUM? LOL. That's even well above national average. On the page you shared itself is written that there is no minimum salary. Please be a bit more sensitive and read at least what you sent when trying to share information to people who seek help for a pretty serious thing about their life.

Does Salary matter for PR under CEC?

As a CEC stream applicant, you do not need to have a certain amount of funds or income to prove your financial stake. The only thing that would raise a problem is putting yourself as a CEO and then showing $20k salary, for example. If the salary and claimed position do not make sense, then they...

    biometrics

For years and years, there was no requirement to give biometrics for inland PR applicants. It just started last December - and had to be shut down in 3 months because of service disruptions. Then? No explanation whatsoever for 5 months. Just a few tweets saying "wait." 5 MONTHS! Not a single...
