    May 2019 Citizenship Application

I mean if they haven’t cancelled it themselves I would go but then again it’s your call and what you feel comfortable with. Can I ask which location you will be having your test at? Does anyone know if this is considered a reasonable reason to reschedule ?

Since there’s no way to really know I’m going to choose to assume that someone accessed your file recently and you’ll be getting an oath invite soon. Fingers crossed!

Mine still says “decision made” but I wouldn’t overthink it because it technically means the same thing.

What do you mean? When you log in to ECAS you see “decision taken” instead of “decision made”?

Wear whatever you like. There is no dress code. I saw people dressed in suits but also saw people in hoodies; I would suggest looking semi-decent though lol

Did anyone receive oath invite Scarborough office?

Yes. I had my test on a Saturday and there were others having their oath ceremonies at the same time.

Did anyone receive oath invite Scarborough office?

This is the most frustrating response I have ever heard someone say an officer has said. “There are so many vacant seats”; Then send out invites to those waiting!

I think you do. I haven’t had my oath ceremony yet but while I was there for my test I heard the officer give instructions to the oath attendees to take it out as well as their PR card.

Can I ask when you took your test and when your oath ceremony was?

It depends on how many stamps you need translated. I paid around $40. If you contact them they will give you a quote based on your needs.

    July 2019 - Citizenship Applicants

No one is saying there is a problem if you do not translate your stamps before your interview; if they ask you, you will just have to get them done and mail it after. It is just being suggested that you should have them done beforehand so that if you do get asked you can have them ready and not...

That’s so strange that they tell you they don’t have slots in the near future but are giving people oath invites for the day after their test. I wish their process was more transparent so we could understand why that is.

I’m located in ON so I’m not sure about BC. I used http://www.docsbase.ca/home which other people on this forum recommended. Their prices were very reasonable and I think they can mail you your translations too.

You might get lucky and they may not ask to see any stamp translations. If they do, though, it’s not the end of the world. You will just have to get them done and mail it to them which is what I had to do. I’ve just been advising people to do it beforehand so they don’t experience any sort of delay.
