    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

It might be outdated info now, but years ago my buddy was landing and he went to the border and just did a U-turn maneuver =)) May be it is still possible to just drive down to the border and land that way instead of waiting for all this time. I am not sure if it is even still possible, but it...

Yeah, you have to travel through NB to get to Halifax from PEI. =)) BTW NS and PEI have the same area code 902.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

Oh, you've never lived here =)) PEI is a special province hehehe. We also have an international port full of CIC officers. And no, no one can land there either. (whispering voice: should be part of NS anyway)

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

It is also for PEI. Couple of my friends had to make the pilgrimage. That is why I assumed it was for the whole of the Maritimes. But I guess it is just PEI lumped with NS and everyone else has their own offices =))

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

Side note: does anyone know about the process in the Maritimes? I assumed that landing is done in Halifax, but I might be wrong.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

Congratulations on DM and other good news! Our age difference is 17 years. Hubby thinks that they just overlooked our application and it is in a pile somewhere ... he is much more optimistic =))

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

For those guys who still waiting, do you have anything "different" about your application? Red flagy sort of things? For us, we have a pretty big age difference. I am starting to think that that might be the reason for the delay. Plus the whole thing about my not needing the police check. Or...

Ufffffff, you got it tough. But with complete immersion, you will be able to eavesdrop on people's conversations very soon =)) And yeah if people in Quebec City think you are in a difficult situation, it must be pretty dire! The places we end up living in .... crazy. I bet if anyone told you 10...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

Before I would've said "Wow! No way! How could that have happened!" .... But now is is more like "Yep .... that is how they roll. Pardon me, stumble in the dark". Never thought about it that way ... I did spend my whole adult life here Hmmmmmmm And I am so glad that I am at least with my...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

Ha .... Since we are clearly venting here now =)) I've been in Canada since I was 17, and even had my 18 birthday here. Never left for more than 3 months (which is clear from one of the questions they ask). Thus, I did not to submit the police report from my country of origin. Anyway, I get a...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

It is one of those bitter sweet moments. I feel bad for people still waiting, but at the same time, it is nice to see that we are not alone :-\ I was retarded enough not to apply for an open work permit thinking "it will come soon enough" and then "well it cannot take much longer ...." after...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

Brrrrr .... we applied in Oct 2012. Sponsor got approved last March (as in a year ago). And still nothing. We went to our MP last week, today I got an email from him that it will take a couple more months. So frustrated! Sorry for venting =))
