    July - 2014 Applications

With the information that you provided in that particular post, there is absolutely nothing that suggests that your application will go through a second review. According to the timelines of applicants from mid-July, you still have a couple of weeks at least before they ask for RPRF. Relax and...

Congrats bud Canada Post is better as far as I know. Buy two express post envelopes. A bigger one and a smaller one. Put your address on the smaller one and put in into the bigger one along with your passport. This way they stamp the passport and they use the pre-addressed express post envelope...

If that another country is within North America you can just mail the passport to Ottawa. However, if you are outside of North America, you'll have to request CIC to have them let you send your passport to the local Canadian embassy or consulate. If you go back a few days on this thread, you'll...

Congrats for your PR buddy. Just wondering, where did you send your passport since you are residing in United States. Did you send it to one of the Canadian consulates in The States? Also, do you come from a visa exempy country?

    CEC October 2014 Applicants

32 hours in enough but don't sign up for EI. Your application will be affected as far as I know. By signing up for EI, you are being a liability on the Canadian government and that might deem you not eligible for PR. I asked this question in one of SINP's sessions at my work place and I have...

That explains everything! For so long I just assumed that perhaps CIC is just not giving out PPR for anyone at the moment. I am happy that's not the case. ;D

What about May applicants? Seems like only one person going by the username TJ got his PR already. Everybody else is still waiting for PPR!

Hello Astasi Kindly update the spreadsheet: Med received on April 10, 2015. I was wondering, what are the chances of any document request after medical? Also, do I need to take a photograph with me for the medical form when I visit the doctor? Thanks a ton.

I really don't want to be intruding in here but I am afraid your information on a lot of things about Oil and gas industry and Provinces in general is quite off. Here are a few things you might wanna consider: -Jobs in your field are in no way a problem in Regina. The truth could not be...

Saskatchewan or Manitoba which is better for PR

I believe you can apply but don't quote me on it. Also, I thought you need 2 years for CEC and 1 year FSW, isn't it?

Saskatchewan or Manitoba which is better for PR

I am actually not sure man if that would count or not but my best guess would be that they would count it since it was paid work. Also, for FSW you need 1 year experience and for Canadian Experience Class(CEC) you need 2 years of work experience. Check out the following 2 links, they will give...

Saskatchewan or Manitoba which is better for PR

CIC doesn't approve LMIA, Service Canada does. You don't need LMIA per se but the thing with the new express entry system is that people with the highest ranking in the pool i.e. most experience, most education and other such positive factors would be the ones who would be invited to apply and...

Saskatchewan or Manitoba which is better for PR

To tell you the truth, with this new express entry, I am not even sure what's wrong and what's right lol. PGWPs can't be extended though. And for any kind of work permit, you would need a LMIA, which I believe is getting harder and harder to get. Also, by the time you guys get close to filling...

Saskatchewan or Manitoba which is better for PR

Correct me if I am wrong but FSW is a good option for France, Brazil or Cuba for sure but check out the processing time for other countries. It is crazy. For example, in India's case it is 24 months! :o And there are other countries sitting at 40+ months.
