Most of the offices in Asia were closed due to strike. Before leaving make sure Visa Office in your home country is not closed. If you going to India, Delhi & Chandigarh offices are closed.

Andy2109 is correct.. Attach your 10 class school certificate as additional proof. That should have your father name, mother name & DOB..

Did you read my above comment?? I had exactly same issue. In all my Canadian IDs, Singh is my last name eg WP, driving license, OHIP etc.. I put singh as last name but they put my full name in last name as shown on passport. So it doesn't matter. either you use singh as last name or full name...

Find out your VO and send him some Expensive Scotch/Wine.. :P that's how we make government employees Happy in India.. 8)

You can use Singh as last name, mine was same as you n I put Singh in last name. As suggested by jasleenK you can put your full name in last name. Its your choice. But eventually they will change your name on your application after & they will put Jasmeet Singh in last name & will leave First...

OOOOHH... dat sucks though.. for me They sent me PPR next they received my Medicals & by that time my ECAS was not even updated to Medicals Received..

you don't even need to inform CIC, that's why CIC has a list of certified/trusted doctors from where you can get your medicals done in all countries. Doctors send your reports themselves.

Yes you can get MR before your ECAS updated to “We have started processing your application on mm-dd-yyyy”.. Happened with me.. And one of my friends ECAS was showing "Application Received" even after 15 days of completing Medicals.. So don't rely on ECAS.

hey s_w_u , I am waiting for PR card as well, what things are required to Enter Canada without PR card?? Just CoPR & Passport is enough??? I am going to US for few days in September and I doubt I am not going to receive my PR card by that time.

Just a question.. If you have already worked in Canada for a year, than how come you didn't get Canadian CC at that time?? As far as I know due to high exchange rates, if you are buying CAD to make DD from a bank it will cost you almost same money in INR. Probably you will end up saving $40-50..
