I got a response to an email I've sent to CIC a week ago. It was definitely worth the wait and explain a lot. Here it is in all it's glory: So very helpful ;-)

Medicals include a chest x-ray - there should be no problem, just make sure you let whoever will be taking the x-ray know that you are pregnant so they could give the lead apron for extra protection.

Most of us who are still waiting have a very similar situation +/- a couple of days. That's the default value - it's like that for every single application. CIC seems to ignore all and any due dates in GCMS.

Wage MAY be a problem, but not because it's an official rule. Jobs have certain certain salary levels. If you claim to have a position that doesn't match the salary you're getting it is likely to trigger 2nd review and/or extra verification of your claims. So if the work you're actually doing...

And then you have the weird exceptions, like my application that has no second review, "recommended pass" and no update since I've done medicals in February.

A couple people reported the same thing recently. Nothing to worry about.

In 2012 they have returned approximately 300.000 (yes, THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND) PR applications, regardless of what stage they were at. All of those applications have been in the backlog for a very long time (over 4 years) and they refunded the fees. The whole thing ended up in a class action...

They are only asking for the passport to stamp the visa in - I haven't heard about a case where it was denied at this stage.

Passport roundtrip was closer to 2 weeks, from what I've seen, but you have no guarantee you'll get PR in time and I wouldn't count on it. There are at least 40 June applicants that are past medical and still waiting for a decision, plenty of them (including me) have nothing in the GCMS notes...
