All of you people wodering where your files are, the physical application package stays in Ottawa but is scanned and sent to Islamabad electronically. This is why they ask you to send any additional information to Ottawa and not to Islamabad so the waiting time is still 28months NOT 12 months...

This is so helpful! So if My husband and I are married for 2 years by the time he gets to Canada, are we able to leave Canada to visit his mum in Europe, right away? The only negative aspect will be that the days he isn't in Canada will delay his citizenship process, correct?

I didn't know this, but apparently you can check your status by entering your receipt number from the Imm5401 form. I haven't tried it myself but worth a try!

What do you mean? I also got the same letter from Ottawa saying my file has been transferred to Isl. does that mean it's being processed from Ottawa then? It usually takes a couple weeks to get to Islm though...

I would send in the copy of his passport separetly and specify that it was left behind. Write a letter to go along with it with both your names etc. even if you don't, they will send you a letter asking for any missing documents but It will delay the process even more.in any case, i don't think...

Yes, AOR was from Ottawa saying they recieved my application on Nov 28, I'm approved for sponsorship, and they have sent my application to the ISM VO. It didn't specify WHEN they sent it though :/
