ECAS Decision Made and NO PPR Express Entry Candidates Connect Here!!

My open work permit expired on August 31. In June, I applied to renew it (not as BOWP, but as extension of my partner's study permit, which is how I got it in the first place). They had not yet made a decision on the work permit when I got PPR. I was on implied status from September 1-18, when I...

Those who got AOR in MAY lets network here>>>>>>>>>

Did you go all the way through and do it BY HAND? Because there are several places, not just one, where you get different points for having one year of Canadian experience or two or more. Don't rely on their calculator, which is, after all, the one that keeps giving people more points than they...

You're right, Anya. There have been many people here concerned because the EE software has given them credit for completing years of work in Canada that they have not yet completed. This could have been a mistake in the software. I hope EricCartman recalculates his points and lets us know if...

OK, this is clear. They believe (rightly or wrongly) that you got CRS points for TWO years of Canadian experience while you qualified for ONE. Either that, or you got adaptability points in FSW again for 2 years of Canadian experience, and the reduction to one year brings your points down below...

So can I assume that is 40 points for a single applicant who worked for 1 year in Canada? And then 13 more points for adaptability? Did you provide a reference letter for this job? Did it indicate how long you held the job and that it was full-time and 40 hours (or more than 30) per week? Was...

Explain where you got 53 points for Canadian work experience? With 1 year 8 months, shouldn't it have been 35 if married and 40 if single?

It doesn't matter if he qualified for CEC since he got his invitation under FSW and had to meet FSW requirements. HOWEVER, if he didn't notice that CRS points were being awarded as if his Canadian experience had been in the past 3 years, he may have been awarded too many CRS points, which were...

Guys, stop. He applied under FSW, and in that case he gets points for work experience in Canada within the past 10 years. Can you please give us more of the letter to work with? How do you know it was related to your Canadian experience? Was all that experience DEFINITELY in NOC A, B, or O jobs...

    Post ITA scenarios

It's a good idea to start gathering PCCs from countries you no longer live in, and from the US even if you still live there, as soon as you create your EE profile and are told you are eligible for EE. The FBI takes particularly long, and CIC is aware of that. If you get an ITA and are still...

US & canada share all immigration info. about visa applicants with each other?

    1) If you were banned, it wouldn't be on your FBI PCC. That is for crimes and arrests only. It's not a crime to overstay in the US. 2) If you were not removed or asked to leave the US, no need to mention it. The PR application asks quite thoroughly about visa denials and removals, but not about...

Sending in second work permit application while on implied status

This is really a tough question, made worse by the fact that lawyers, who presumably know what they are doing, seem to have advised something that I and maybe others don't believe is true. I would - and I am not a Canadian immigration lawyer - say that you are correct, that you must apply for...

    Reasons for Rejection

No, we got it online (CIC sent an unusable link in MyCIC but we found the right one), printed it out to sign in, then scanned it back in and uploaded it where they had provided a space in MyCIC.

Can I add more than 1 NOC to count for my work experience in my FSW EE?

You need one primary NOC in which you have worked for more than one year. The rest of your work experience can be varied in time, place, and NOC, though they should all be NOC A, B, or O. I had 4 NOCs altogether for which I got credit.

    Reasons for Rejection

Sounds like they are interested in 2014 BEFORE October. But my partner was asked to fill out the statutory questions in Schedule A, which he had already answered in his application. He answered exactly the same way, signed, and was done. No problems - and we have no idea why they asked again.

    Reasons for Rejection

It wasn't the refusals that caused the problem - it was not mentioning them in the application.

    Medical Reasons for Refusal

It may be a reason to ask for further investigation by an appropriate doctor, but no - the way you describe it, it won't be an issue.

    ITA says FSW

Under Express Entry, you don't choose which program to apply under. Your answers on your profile tell CIC which programs you are eligible for, and CIC decides which invitation to send if you are eligible for more than one. Frankly, everyone (including me) who qualifies for both CEC and FSW gets...

    Reasons for Rejection

Check that you still have enough FSW points without those jobs (if you had an FSW invitation) and if so, write a CSE explaining why you believe you still have enough points. But also make a new profile so you can get a new invitation and start over. So sorry this happened to you!
