Have you tried using a different browser and also clear your cache? I have not seen that error as I have filled out a few fields.

I would say if you meet the requirements then why wait unless you would/have a good score for direct EE.

This is possible for some province like BC. Those provinces have the PNP route and the EE PNP route. In BC, for example, the PNP route takes about 16 months for PR whereas EE PNP takes about 6 months for PR. Those timelines are after the nomination. Now it's your call.
