hi, I don't think they would make BFD to a year. It's usually 30 days from what i have heard in this forum. I don't think you will be able to find that date without CAIPS notes.

Where does your husband live? You had to take a tourist visa for that country? You could file a tax even if you didn't work. You would have some T4 from your college/uni. In any case, if you have explained your financial situation in a letter, you should be fine.

I would agree with shamsia. Don't question why this n why not this to ND. Do what is best for you in this situation, which is to go asap to ND with your letter and give them your fprints. I don't know how long it would take for your canadian BC but I can assure you that it's normal for them to...
